We highly recommend crate training. For overnight sleeping and when you aren't home or know you can't supervise your dog (you need eyes on your puppy at all times)
Wire crate - https://amzn.to/4eExXRq
Plastic carrier - https://amzn.to/3L0kkyo
I have also found these reasonably priced at Menards
Grooming - you will need puppy shampoo, a slicker brush, metal comb and scissors with safety ends to trim around the eyes between grooms. Wipes are also nice to have on hand.
Bells - These guys are all conditioned to hearing the bells when going outside. Hang them on your door going outside. Help puppy ring the bell with their paw and say "Go outside?, Go Potty"
Collar and leash - You can try a harness but it does not teach them to not pull when walking. But it is more comfortable for them if they do pull. Consistency is key with everything but especially with teaching to walk on a leash. I like the personalized collars for our dogs opposed to the name tags, but they do take awhile for personalization and shipping
Beds - unfortunately, if you have a chewer and they all chew for the 1st 6 months at least, beds are hard to introduce. You could start with a durable bed like this and there are many out there that say they are "chew proof". Not sure that exists!
Nylabones - I trust this brand and have never had any issues with all of my dogs. You will be getting a puppy nylabone from me too.
As they get bigger, here is another brand I found that has proven durable - probably more after they are 1 year old or older. I found these at Target too
You will be getting a 7 lb bag of puppy food from me. Here is the brand. I've found local at Target and Hy-vee. I order auto-ship from Chewy. Small, soft training bites are also recommended.
There are so many food and water bowls to choose from. There are slow feeders, seperate bowls, connected bowls, water dispensers, etc. I don't think you need a recommendation for that. Just make sure you have on hand before they come home. Clean them often.
Most importantly - Proof your house and supervise at all times for the 1st 6-9 months! These pups can and will try to ingest things that can cause serious damage or death.
We are so excited for you and can't wait to get updates! Message anytime with pictures, questions, anything at all!
